This article will deal with how to create and effective article for marketing a web site.
Goal: To create an effective article whose primary goal is to drive traffic to a specific landing pages or pages. The secondary goal is to create a link or multiple links to your web site. It must be understood that article marketing for the sake of just building links is not a long term strategy for SEM and SEO.
Step 1. Research your keyword phrases. This can be done using Google’s keyword selection tool. For this exercise, the keyword phrase tv wall mount shelf was entered into the selection tool. You will notice that I have linked the text to a specific landing page on the site that corresponds to the anchor text used in the link. It is important to link to pages within your site and not always to the home page. This deep link building creates a specific target for your traffic as well as improves SEO.
I sort the results by competition first. This should provide keywords that are easier to find placement for. The key is to find keywords with lower competition and a fair amount of searches.

Step 2. Creating an effective and keyword rich article title
From my understanding of the product I am trying to promote I am able to combine two keyword phrases to create an effective title for the article: How to install a wall mount tv shelf and hide wires.
